Reflections

Stockholm-based British conductor, Simon Crawford-Phillips, leads the award-winning Swedish chamber orchestra, Västerås Sinfonietta, in Aaron Copland’s "Appalachian Spring", George Gershwin’s "Variations on I Got Rhythm", and reflections by various Swedish composers on the famous Swedish traditional tune, "Visa från Utanmyra". Bonus tracks include exclusive and rarely heard alternative ending of Copland’s "Appalachian Spring"! Since 1883, Västerås Sinfonietta has offered tones and traditions. On the home stage in Västerås Concert Hall, the 33 musicians orchestra plays for its audience in, among other things, subscription series, lunch and coffee concerts, Christmas concerts, and a rich selection for children and young people.
