About
Sweden’s last classical record label in its class with Swedish owners.

Producer & Managing Director
dB Productions is today the only remaining Swedish classical record company with Swedish owners and a regular release activity of 3 to 5 albums per year.
dB Productions was established in Malmö in 1989 by guitarist and producer Dragan Buvac. Since 2005, the company is run by producer & managing director Erik Nilsson, originally a classical pianist who started working for the label in 1999. In the beginning, the label was active in multiple genres, but focus is today, since many years, on classical and contemporary music. During Nilsson's time in charge, 18 albums from dB Productions have been nominated for the most prestigiuos Swedish music prize, the Grammis Award, of which four have also won the category "Classical Album of the Year".
dB Productions work today on a regular basis with some of Sweden’s foremost artists such as violinists Cecilia Zilliacus and Malin Broman, pianists Bengt Forsberg, Peter Friis Johansson and Simon Crawford-Phillips, soprano Sabina Bisholt, harpist Delphine Constantin-Reznik, guitarist Mårten Falk, The Zilliacus Quartet, conductor Patrik Ringborg, the Västerås Sinfonietta, Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra, Gothenburg Opera Orchestra, Malmö Opera Orchestra, and composers such as Andrea Tarrodi, Mats Larsson Gothe, Anders Nilsson and Ylva Skog.
Erik Nilsson does everything himself, from producing, editing and mixing, to the design of the album covers and promotion of the finished productions. dB Productions’ catalogue is distributed worldwide both physically and digitally through Naxos, and Klassik Center Kassel (Germany only).
