"Fragments" is the last CD in the composer and pianist Erik Nilsson's trilogy with piano compositions rooted in the classic-romantic tradition, sometimes with detours through pop and jazz. This is probably as close to easy-listening as you get when it comes to classical-based solo piano music.
On Erik Nilsson's previous albums: "The music is beautiful, yes indeed! Erik Nilsson's music becomes a soundtrack of our lives, of man's ideas of life, earth, universe... New age, but another kind of New age. Not the escaping, but the thinking human being's new age. New human age." (Bengt Eriksson, Gränslöst). "Music that abounds with imagination, compassion and sometimes even subtle humour. A great thing is that you can either listen to the music and become absorbed in it, or let the music run in the background to create an ambience." (Anders Bragsjö, UNT).
