Mårten Falk is one of Sweden's foremost classical guitarists, renowned for his warm tone and sensitive playing. "Anecdotes" is his first solo album, with romantic music from 1840-1940 by Mertz, Tárrega and Segovia. Falk is one of the first, and very few, guitarists in the world to record the "Five Anecdotes" and "Neblina" by the legendary Andrés Segovia. After its release, "Anecdotes" was selected "The CD of the Week" at the Swedish Radio. Mårten Falk also scored very high notes in the reviews: "The guitarist Mårten Falk's guitar album 'Anecdotes' is one of this autumn's most poetical releases. Falk's sober, elegant technique and his competent chord play follow the music's different parts, from the quiet prelude to rhythmically capricious presentations. Falk is an exquisite aristocratic ambassador for the classical guitar and its ageless musical art." (5/5, Eskilstuna-Kuriren / Dag Lundin)
